Got distracted again!

I’ll never get finished with my read-a-thon  list this way, but so what. This is fun. On Gaby’s blog Oh my Books! I found a link to a new meme Top 5 Sundays at Larissa’s Life. Since I love lists I couldn’t resist. This week it’s five favourite movie soundtracks.

Let’s see. My five favourite movie soundtracks in no particular order…

  • Pulp Fiction
The songs fit the film perfectly.
  • Lock, Stock & Two Smoking Barrels
The same here. Guy Ritchie could not have chosen better songs for it.
  • Kill Bill vol.1
The 5678s with their “Woohoo” alone deserve this. Wonderful. Tarantino has a knack for this.
  • Once upon a time in the West
It conveys just the right atmoshpere
  • Manhattan
One of my favourite films. Gershwin goes with it like nothing else.

What are your favourite movie soundtracks?

  1. I want to do this, but I would have to think hard about it and I need to finish up as much as I can for the read-a-thon. I may put up a quick post though.

    I like your list!

  2. Yes, Tarantino is very cool. But Ritchie comes close. His first film isn’t known by many outside the UK but it’s brilliant and the music is awesome!

Carin, I’d love to see your list!

  3. Gaby, I liked both parts a lot. But that one scene in the restaurant with the girl band is just the coolest.

  4. In Kill Bill As The Bride is walking through Tokyo Airport (about an hour into the movie), she walks in front of a billboard promoting RED APPLE CIGARETTES. These non-exsistent smokes are also found in other Tarantino videos for instance Pulp Fiction (Bruce Willis’ character asks for a pack appropriate after his meeting with Marcelus Wallace in the club) and From Dusk till Dawn (There can be a pack on the dash of the Gecko brother’s car).
