- Ernest Hemingway – A Life Story by Carlos Baker.
I got this, as unbelievable as it sounds, from Bookmooch. It is in German and has almost 700 pages. A biography! I don’t think I have ever seen one that long. I once read a biography of Sulla, but it was more historical fiction and even that was only 600 pages. Ah, well, I am digressing…
- Becoming Marie Antoinette by Juliet Grey.
This title and cover caught my eye in the Goodreads newsletter and I thought it might be worth checking Netgalley for it. And imagine my smile when I saw it pop out to me right in the banner at the top!
- The perfectly imperfect home by Deborah Needleman.
The title caught my eye, there is no blurb, no nothing to indicate what exactly it is about. The subtitle “Essentials for decorating and living well” covers a wide field. I am curious.
I got as gift
- Notes from the Warsaw Ghetto by Emmanuel Ringelblum. My husband gave me this one as a gift. I think I will read it as part of the One, two theme challenge.
