Goodreads 2011 reading challenge
I received an email from Goodreads (like all the other 153.701 participants) that I will get a 2011 reading challenge badge for my GR profile IF I reach my target in the 2011 Goodreads reading challenge. .
I want that badge!
But I am afraid I won’t get it.
Somehow I bit off more than I can chew. Of the 100 books I targeted I read 62 and that is wrong already because there is a number of DNFs included in this. I will set next year’s target considerably lower. Even though I will be participating in the Outdo Yourself Reading Challenge.
Did you participate in the GR reading challenge? How did you do?
A pity you didn’t make it. Is not going to happen unless you read more than one book a day for the rest of the month…
I didn’t do this challenge as I don’t want to read more than before, I just want to read. I read 170 books last year, so there is really no need in trying to challenge myself in reading more.

Well, certainly, you don’t need an incentive to read more at all.
I didn’t go for that challenge though I would have succeeded with flying colors as they say. I’ve just passed the 150 books line recently, so … But I am planning to take it more slowly next year! Maybe reading the fatter books
will slow me down a bit and this is also a reason why I created the Tea & Books challenge, so to get rid of those chunksters on my TBR piles.

Birgit, with the GR challenge you could set your own golad as high or low as you wanted. My hundred were just a guess and I failed miserably!
I am sure your chunksters will slow you down a bit concerning the number of books for 2012.
