In July I
- reviewed "The first man in Rome” by Colleen McCullough
- read Death of a Scriptwriter by M. C. Beaton
- read and reviewed “The Love Object” by Edna O’Brien
- read and reviewed “Girl reading”. My posts about it are here, here and here.
- read and reviewed “Election"!” by Dan Gutman
- read Death of a dustman by M. C. Beaton
- read Death of a celebrity by M. C. Beaton

- celebrated my 4 year blogoversary

This month I am planning to read a bit more as I will be off for a few weeks. I want to
- continue The Grass Crown by Colleen McCullough. Be prepared to see that book on my list for the next few months.
- finish Latte Trouble by Cleo Coyle
and read
- Coraline by Neil Gaiman
- The rest is up to my mood.
How was YOUR reading month?

I finished three books and started four, got to interview the author of one of them and I’m still in awe, wrote some tips to blogging and… totally non-book related, dyed my hair dark after a year blonde and a month as a redhead. All those trips to the hairdresser were obviously amused by books.
In August I am planning to keep reading this much and maybe create some reading lists for the non-existent literature classes I will have this fall term. I’ll do research around your blogs to help me made these lists

Dyeing twice in such a short time? And you only made it one month as a redhead? I take it red is not your color.
Creating reading lists is always fun. Are you going to share them with us?
Oops. I was going to give M.C. Beaton a go, but you’ve rated both books only two stars. Not highly recommended, I guess? Again, I admire the fact that you can stick to a few books and finish them. As always, I’ve got way too many books on the list. August will be largely dedicated to Jane Austen and continuing with Haruki Murakami’s 1Q84.
I suggest you give it a go. The series is long and just seems to be deteriorating. It is definitely formula, but fun, at least in the beginning.
