In my mailbox

I got a nice bookish gift in my mailbox this week. Believe it or not, our family joined the group of Kindle users. A friend of mine gave us her spare (first) Kindle as a gift as she received another, more recent, one for Christmas. You might know that I am no Kindle friend, but have to admit that it looks quite good and it has some features that my other reader hasn’t got. Still, I will stick with my trusted old Sony and will only use the Kindle if I have no choice.

As far as books go…

I got for review

  • The Stranger by Kyra Davis, obviously another part of a trilogy with a multi billionaire CEO and erotic tendencies. Reminds you of something? Yes! I couldn’t resist when I saw that one in the Netgalley newsletter. Ally, you should definitely take a look at it!

  1. A Kindle!? I’m speechless. And we’ll see about that “if I have no choice” part. *grin*

My mailbox? Ahem … let me think … actually I’ve been waiting for all my recent AwesomeBooks orders (aka three weeks of unrestrained book shopping) to roll in and will present them this afternoon in my Postman Files. Be warned though, you might start drooling when you see my loot!
    Hint: cozy mysteries galore

Yeah, well, the Kindle. It WAS a gift, I never would have gotten one. Believe me, I am a Sony fan!!

Nothing in my mailbox, not even my Venice photo album, but I am sure it will get here next week.
A Kindle? Hmm, now I love how you spoil each other there 🙂

  3. my mailbox has seen a few Christmas cards and that’s about it. I am over flowing with books at the moment and wish to get to them before more arrive. I recently received a Nook and daughter has claimed it as her own. oh well. no 50 type books on that ereader as she is only 16.

    • Thanks, Elena, but I didn’t enjoy it very much. It was so short that I couldn’t have reviewed it had I stopped in the middle, but it wasn’t that great. You didn’t miss a thing, 😉
