Just a couple of pictures from a concert in 2009 to tide over the time until the next one. Only a few more weeks to go! Ally reminded me with her blog post that it is not much longer.

Here are my finds for this week…
- I like Gotye’s “Somebody that I used to know”, but this parody of it with Anakin Skywalker and George Lucas is even better. Too funny and just brilliant.
- Don’t forget to sign up for the Book Bloggers Holiday Card Exchange!
- Elena from Books and Reviews has a few great thoughts on giving books for Christmas.
What did you find this week?

Here are my finds for this week…
- If you are a parent listen to and watch this Parent Rap, you will recognize yourself. If you are not a parent listen to and watch this Parent Rap, so you know what awaits you one day.
- The horrible histories videos are just great. Watch this one about the Spartan preparations for the battle of Thermopylae or any other one, you will laugh your head off.
- Have a look at those gorgeous book cover designs!
- Want to go armchair travelling? Check out those amazing places!
- And since we are talking about travelling, look at those quirky hotels.
Have YOU found anything interesting this week?
Rudolph

A slightly unusual version of “Rudolph, the red-nosed reindeer” by The Smashing Pumpkins… Enjoy!

What I like…besides books: Insensatez

I am a big fan of songs by Antonio Carlos Jobim and Vinicius de Moraes. You might know the song “Garota da Ipanema” (The girl from Ipanema – this is a great performance by Frank Sinatra and Antonio Jobim from 1967) which is probably their most famous one.
“Insensatez” is one of my favourite songs. This here is an absolutely stunning video and performance of Fernanda Takai, a Brasilian singer.
If you would like to see Antonio Jobim perform the song himself, you can do so here (there are tons of great videos of that song).
What I like…besides books: music videos – It’s no good
One of my favourite bands is Depeche Mode. I saw them last year live and they were amazing. This video of “It’s no good” is definitely one of their best (and funniest). The song is great and Depeche Mode are pulling their own leg. You don’t see that too often.
What I like…besides books: music videos – Since I left you

This is another one of my favourite music videos – Since I left you by The Avalanches. Watch the guy dance! Fabulous!
What I like…besides books: music videos – Stand inside your love

In order to bring a bit more diversity to my blog I decided to add a What I like…besides books feature. I’ll simply post an image or video of something I like and chat about it if I feel like it.
The idea occurred to me today in the car when I listened to the Smashing Pumpkins and thought about their absolutely awesome video clip to “Stand inside your love”. It’s a great song, but the video is something else. What can I say, I just love men in skirts.
